This year our seniors were given the opportunity to paint their very own parking spots. Alexander, lead the charge in helping the Class of 2024 make their “Senior Parking Spaces” a reality!
Here’s what Ms. Alexander had to say: “At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, my student, Morgan Ellenberger, shared her dream for HHS seniors to express their creativity and school spirit with painted senior parking spaces as well as having the senior perk of priority parking. As the student sponsor, Morgan needed a staff member to help move the idea forward, and I could not pass up an opportunity to be a part of something this special. Dr. Buffington and the HHS admin team received the idea with enthusiasm and encouragement. We had 54 seniors participate in the parking spot painting! They worked incredibly hard through heat and long days. but they achieved something remarkable! I would encourage anyone who is out after school hours to drive by and see how incredibly creative and spirited our Class of 2024 is!”
Both weekends were hot. Around high 80’s, low 90’s. The bright sun gazing upon the black pavement. All of the students pacing around their spots planning what they will do first. It was such a blast! Everyone gathered together with paint cans and brushes, ready to unleash their creativity. The parking lot turned into a colorful masterpiece as everyone personalized their spots with unique designs, quotes, and symbols. The energy was contagious, with music blasting, laughter filling the air, and friends cheering each other on. It was a great way to leave their mark on the school before graduating!
